Anime Sketches, 250GSM Paper, 0.5MM HB Mechanical Pencil
I have been drawing for about two years now and have always been drawn to drawing anime characters for majority of this time. I grew up watching shows such as Dragon Ball and Naruto and this is the reason why I am so influenced by Japanese anime and manga, more specifically speaking manga artists such as Akira Toriyama and Masashi Kishimoto. It was somewhat of a gateway to the things I like to draw. For me drawing is a great stress reliever, it allows your mind to flow creatively and in some scenarios there is nothing more satisfying than when the tip of the pencil meets the paper.

Anyway, in the drawings displayed on the left you can see three of Shonen's most popular characters to date. Goku, Luffy and Naruto. I had an absolute blast drawing these as I can really see the improvement from when I started drawing, or even from a few months ago.

TRADITIONAL

DIGITAL
ARTWORK.
Digital Work, Photoshop, Wacom Tablet

I got in to doing digital pieces when I started the Creative Technologies course at Yoobee. I had a Wacom tablet for sometime prior to joining the course but I never really gave it a chance until I came to Yoobee and I was so shocked as to why I never jumped on to using it sooner. Being able to create art on Illustrator or Photoshop gifts you an endless arsenal to work with as you please, combine that with a drawing tablet and it is almost as if you're drawing the way you would in your sketch book.

Again here you can see the return of Dragon Ball related art. This is from a set I called A Lonely Planet, taking elements that we see everyday on Earth to create something different that we would not usually see (like the three moons in the first piece).
